How to Create a Minimalistic Glowy Summer Look for Beginners

We are no experts with makeup, however, we have mastered the perfect fresh, minimalistic, and most importantly easy summer glowy look. The products range from drug store products, to Sephora products. These products are basic everyday products everyone should have.

The combination of these products will brighten your complexion and give you a summer glow. Not everybody likes to feel like they have an intense amount of makeup on, this everyday routine is perfect for those who like to feel like they are not wearing any makeup.

MOISTURIZE

Firstly, never leave the house without moisturizing your face. It is so important to have a hydrated face. We love to use the GLAMGLOW Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer. This moisturizer was designed to be worn under foundation and give your skin a boosted glow. The product is amazing because it absorbs quickly and has the slightest shimmer.

PRIME

The Too Faced Hangover Primer is a necessity to prepare your face before any makeup goes on, it’s a great base for your makeup because it’s very lightweight and it holds our makeup together. Just apply this all over your face with your hands.

TINTED MOISTURIZER

If you want more coverage to your face we love the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer or for lighter coverage, Glossier’s Perfecting Skin Tint is great at evening skin tone. We use a brush or BeautyBlender to apply these products, they both look and feel so effortless.

CONCEAL & SET

Next, we love the Glossier Stretch Concealer. There are so many shades offered and it can cover anything. We find it applies best with your fingers, it blends in so nicely. To set it all in we use the translucent Laura Mercier Setting Powder. It creates the effect of feeling like your natural skin. The full-size product lasts longer than you would expect and is really worth the price.

BRONZE

To bronze our face we are addicted to Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer. This bronzer is really adaptable. It is super easy to build the product up for a more dramatic look or lightly brush it on for a more subtle bronze. Typically we brush it lightly under our cheekbones and around our hairline.

BLUSH

To give us a sun-kissed look we use the glossier Cloud Paint Blush. Currently, we are in love with the shade “Puff”. To get a radiant look in the sun we use the Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter, and we add a few drops on our check bone and our t-zones with our fingers.

SET

To set everything in we lightly spray our full face with the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. This product is a classic and has always been a staple for us. Then we apply our Glossier Lash Slick Mascara. This mascara is NEVER clumpy and coats each lash perfectly. It is on the lighter side of mascaras but it is perfect for a minimalistic look.

LIPS

For the final step we apply Aquaphor on our lips to hydrate and give a little bit of a gloss. Aquaphor is super effective at moisturizing your lips and leaves them feeling super soft.
