Confession: You never forget your first...

A series where I explore the emotional relationship we have with our beauty products.
In 2019, this seems so outdated. So last century. It just doesn't happen like this anymore.
My mom has always used Estee Lauder almost exclusively. So when I was 15 (?) and decided I needed to start using a real moisturizer I went to the EL counter. Yes, I know. An actual beauty counter at an actual department store.
Ah, Estee Lauder DayWear - I used this stuff for years. Every month or so, I'd take a small spatula and scoop it out of the jar into an identical miniature jar I got in a GWP.
The smell of cucumbers still takes me back. Ah, high school. What a messed up time.
What was your first real foray into skincare? What did you use?
